Married w/o Kids is a comedy episodic series that follows two Black artists struggling to make it in New York City while married w/o kids. Jamila Thomas, a Visual Artist, and Isaac Bruneaux, a Jazz Musician, have been dating for a while. They decide their lives would be easier if they move-in together, get married and have kids, eventually. No biggie, piece of cake. They later realize it's more work than what they'd anticipated.

 

With transitions in their careers, change in their neighborhood due to gentrification, and self doubt on whether or not they should continue to pursue their creative aspirations, Jamila and Isaac manage to push through it all, sharing hilarious, yet complicated moments needed to accomplish their dreams together.

Marriage w/o Kids is a show that humorizes the bleak reality regarding the lack of job stability for two talented freelance artists living in New York City, struggling to feed their soul and pay their rent. Can two artists in love fully live out their aspirations together in NYC before the realities of their lives start to outweigh their dreams?

With each episode, we see Jamila and Isaac work hard to try to balance fulfilling their artistic endeavors with real jobs, growing closer in their relationship, while sharing mutual friends to witness and support their growth along the way.
